FEES
Here at Meliora Clinical Psychology, we believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health care, and we are committed to making our services as affordable and accessible as possible. To achieve this, we have set our fees to be reasonable for the community while still providing professional services.
While we cannot offer a sliding scale, we are dedicated to helping you find a plan that suits your needs. Our fees are lower than those recommended by The Australian Psychological Society (APS), which is currently set at $311 for a standard 46-60 minute session.
Our fee for a standard 50-minute session with a Clinical Psychologist is currently $260. After the Medicare rebate of $145.25, your out of pocket expense is $114.75.
We are unable to offer bulk-billing, but we do offer Medicare and private health insurance rebates to help make therapy more accessible.
Please note that fees and rebates are subject to an annual increase in July each year.
If you have any questions or concerns about our fees, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are happy to work with you to find a solution that fits your budget and needs.

REBATES
To help make mental health care more accessible, eligible clients can consider a mental health treatment plan from their GP or Psychiatrist. This plan may provide Medicare rebates of up to $141.85 per session for up to 10 sessions over a 12-month period (calendar year). To ensure the best possible care, GP reviews are required following the 6th and 10th sessions.
You can find more information about the Better Access to Mental Health Initiative and how to access Medicare rebates on the Medicare website here.
Alternatively, clients may be able to claim from their Private Health Fund with the right level of cover. We recommend checking with your provider for more information about your coverage options.

CANCELLATION POLICY
At our clinic, we strive to provide high-quality health care to all of our clients in a timely manner. We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise and appointments may need to be rescheduled or cancelled. However, please keep in mind that no-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations can be inconvenient not only for our providers but also for our other patients. That's why we have a policy in place regarding missed appointments.
When you book your appointment, you are reserving a space on our calendar that becomes unavailable to other clients. To be considerate of your fellow patients, we kindly ask that you text or email us as soon as possible if you are unable to make your appointment. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 48 hours in advance. This will allow us to offer the appointment time to another patient in need.

Late Cancellations/No-Shows
Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a missed appointment fee. A cancellation is considered late when it is made less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment, and a no-show is when a patient misses an appointment without cancelling.

If you cancel your appointment between 48 and 24 hours before it's scheduled, we'll charge you 50% of the fee you would have paid if you had come to your appointment. But if you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment or don't show up at all, we'll have to charge you the full fee.

For new patients attending their first appointment, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you can't make it. If you don't show up or cancel too late, we'll have to charge you the full appointment fee. We hope you understand that this is because we want to make sure we can continue to offer our services to as many patients as possible.
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and we will work with you to reschedule your appointment if necessary. However, if there are three consecutive cancellations, your clinician may need to cancel future appointments and refuse further services. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us provide the best care possible to all of our patients.
